What's New at EvilCouchie

Wow, we've had a few great months here, business win after business win! Although we spend our days with our heads either stuck into computer screens or testing new software, being in demand is great, and getting the work done is bliss.

We've been busy broadening our development horizons, since it looks like Apple Computer is up to its old tricks, reinventing markets like the mobile device market.   Ever wonder how you'll be watching TV in the next 10-20 years - think video via cell phone for one. A hundred other things you'll be able to accomplish via your mobile device are on the horizon as well. We're gearing up! We're immersing ourselves into research for mobile applications and how to deploy them on a iPhone or a regular flip phone.  From this research will evolve Messagestations, a neutral platform for deploying a company's information.

We've also have had our hands full with site maintenance projects, a few personal branding projects, and a myriad of new business ideas that have kept us hopping..

  • Sofen Family Dentistry contracted us to implement a web solution for them. We went head-to-head with a national vendor, and beat them not only in price, but also in service. Sofen paid less, and got a superior product. We expect it to be launched any day.
  • Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian has been up for a for a few months, and doing swimmingly. The church is making their own website changes through their content management system.
  • Our friends at LOC Plan have us hopping. We're working on their major website roll-out. With content fully managed by them, it integrates a reminder system for when their "Lifetime Oil Change" clients are due for a service.

Yep, we're busy, but always looking for more! Keep my developers busy, and employ Americans.

Case Study - Easy Green Shop

So what happens when one of your best friends calls you, was doing amazing sales, all kinds of new clients, and suddenly poof, terminated from his job. You help him hang his shingle out there, and develop a great website to highlight his products and services. Along the way, Easy Green Shop has grown in leaps and bounds, working with some of the largest companies in Michigan, from Henry Ford Health System, Detroit Medical Center, and just abour every advertising agency in town delivering marketing materials and services like no one I have seen before.

We're there stride for stride with them, adding features like an e-mail marketing program, and partnering with them on projects like The Beehive Boutique. They have the idea, we take it to the extreme, delivering analytical results.

The site we developed for EGS took all of a week to build and implement. Not too bad when you want to hit the ground running. I seem to remember the site being finished before the logo was done.
